Request deletion of your data
You can ask Walter Curry, the developer of SyncPoint, to delete personal information held about you. You can also delete your journal and saved app data directly on your device.
Send a deletion request
You do not need a SyncPoint account, the app installed, or cloud analysis enabled to make a request.
Email a deletion requestOpens a draft in your email app. Review it, add any relevant details, and send it to submit your request.
Or email redgravityzeroghost@gmail.com
Subject: SyncPoint data deletion request
What to include
- Tell us whether you want all personal information we hold about you deleted or only specific records, such as a support email or attachment.
- If possible, write from the email address you previously used to contact us. If you no longer have access to it, explain this in your request.
- Include relevant message dates or a brief description to help us find the records.
Keep your request limited to what is needed. Do not send passwords, identity documents, or a copy of your journal.
What happens after you send it
We will assess your request and may ask for the minimum additional information needed to verify it and locate records. Where applicable, we will delete personal information within our control, including support correspondence and attachments, and reply with the outcome.
We handle requests within any response period required by applicable law. Information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or address security incidents or legal claims. We will explain what is retained, why, and the retention period or criteria that apply.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the request, maintain necessary records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
Delete data stored on your device
Your SyncPoint journal is stored locally. We cannot retrieve or remotely erase information that exists only on your device.
- Individual entries: Open My Entries in SyncPoint and delete the entries you want to remove.
- Display name: Change or clear it in Profile.
- All local data: Follow the steps below to remove your journal, profile, settings, saved analyses, reports, and other app data.
- Open your device's Settings and select Apps.
- Select SyncPoint, then Storage or Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear storage or Clear data and confirm. Labels vary by device.
You can also uninstall SyncPoint. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes local app data. Clear cache alone does not. Saved reports and reusable custom labels may remain after deleting an individual entry.
Deleting all local data cannot be undone within SyncPoint. It does not remove exported copies or information already sent to Google.
Cloud processing and exported copies
Google services: Turning cloud analysis off stops new journal-analysis requests and attempts to cancel work in progress. It cannot recall information already transmitted. Deleting a local entry does not send a remote deletion request.
If your request concerns information processed by Google, include the service and approximate interaction date if known, without resending journal content. We will assess whether the information can be identified and work with the provider where applicable. We cannot guarantee that a specific request or processing log can be located or immediately erased.
Google's published Gemini abuse-monitoring policy describes retaining prompts, context, and responses for 55 days. Its applicable retention practices continue to apply. See Google's abuse-monitoring policy.
Exports: Delete journal exports separately from any device, folder, or cloud-storage provider where you saved them. An email request to us does not delete copies held by an export destination.
